Ruka Souen -Roses

So this is my first watercolor posted here, and my first attempt at painting an anime character, ever. You'd think I'd have tried this a few years ago, but nooo...

Ruka Souen from Matsuri Hino's Vampire Knight. I had to scan it in two parts since my watercolor pad's paper is bigger than my scanner. Aside from that, no editing in Photoshop aside from a miserable attempt to blur the lines where they join.

I love the water part of watercolors waaay too much. Since my mother asked for a similar picture for my grandma, expect... about two more pieces before summer vacation ends. Let's hope I improve something this year... Not VK though. I'm not inclined to attempt painting Yuuki right now. >.<
